A vial of anointing oil is what I see in a vision, being handed to me by an anointed man who I know.
“Yes Lord, I receive it! I so want the anointing that I am seeing in the Spirit.”
But when the man finally prays for me a few days later at church, he says, “The only Word that I’m getting for you is the Word RESILIENCE.”
“RESILIENCE? But I want more, I want a fresh anointing … I wasn’t expecting resilience … I felt like the little girl crying to her Daddy, I want what he has!”
It’s easy to want another’s gift? Yet God has specific reasons for when and what He gives to each. And each gift is immensely valuable.
But we don’t always understand right away…
We don’t always see what He sees …
He sees what is to come …
He sees what we need.
I heard, “The vial of oil poured over you is an anointing of RESILIENCE.”
A few days later I take a closer look at the GIFT that God was giving me …
Months of caretaking for a daughter walking through cancer, and a relative with a sprained ankle and foot surgery …
Exhaustion set in …
RESILIENCE
“God is giving me a gift …”
Resilience is the ability to cope with stress and trials and bounce back to a previous normal state or to be even better than before.
The Word RESILIENCE – is likened to a rubber band. When it is stretched, pulled or pressed, it has the ability to recover from and bounce back into shape, ready to be used again.
“Ahhhh…. Now I get it.”
Like the rubber band I was being stretched and sometimes I felt as if I reached my breaking point.
God knew I needed an anointing of RESILIANCE after months of adversity …
… I needed to bounce back again, so I would be ready to be used as the Master saw fit. Used even in the middle of this trial.
RESILIENCE …
“I am RESILIENT.”
“I am RESILIENT.”
When I felt exhausted I spoke it out …
“I am RESILIENT.”
I could feel the Oil of His Spirit strengthening me…
Apostle Paul understood RESILIENCE.
He said,
But this precious treasure—this light and power that now shine within us[c]—is held in a perishable container, that is, in our weak bodies. Everyone can see that the glorious power within must be from God and is not our own. We are pressed on every side by troubles, but not crushed and broken. We are perplexed because we don’t know why things happen as they do, but we don’t give up and quit. We are hunted down, but God never abandons us. We get knocked down, but we get up again and keep going. These bodies of ours are constantly facing death just as Jesus did; so it is clear to all that it is only the living Christ within who keeps us safe. 2 Corinthians 4: 7-10 TLB

Ask Him …
Open your heart and receive what He has for you today.
