Is it You God? Are You knocking at the door of my heart?

Someone suggests I read a book called Health And Wholeness Through The Holy Communion.

Months later another person hands me an article on Taking Daily Communion.

And yet another stops by, saying God told them to bring me a book called, Health And Wholeness Through The Holy Communion.

“I think thats You God!”

… so I  take communion for a week, only to let it slip away.

Then in a dream I see a book titled, How to take Communion.

“God, You have my FULL attention!”

He is standing at the door to my heart, knocking…

Do you suppose He has a reason for wanting me to take communion on a regular basis?

When God speaks it is always with a purpose.

“Father, forgive me for not paying closer attention. Forgive me for not listening.”

I believe He is giving me a plan, a strategic plan of protection and provision.

I can’t think about the whys …

I must obey.

I can’t entertain the what ifs …

I can only trust.

He has a plan and He is letting me in on it …

I must follow.

He goes before me …

I know I am safe.

He already won the victory …

I must appropriate what Jesus wrought on the cross.

He wants fellowship … It’s an invitation … A loaf of bread … Grape juice … A surrendered heart … A listening ear … Prayer … A pen and paper …

I open the door …

Today … communion,

Tomorrow… communion …

“Thank You God for Your grace and for not giving up on me!”

What About You?

Are you observing His movements or are they slipping away? If you look closely, you might detect the fingerprints of God in your life.

Sadly there are times we miss:

His Voice … are you listening?

His Wisdom … Are you walking in it?

His Protection … Are you staying under cover?

His Conviction … Are you turning from sin?

His Strategy… Are you following?

His Love … Are you receiving it?

Are you missing that gentle nudge? Are you brushing off the voice of the Holy Spirit? If you are not sure, take a moment and ask Him.

Listen to the breath of His Spirit.

He desires your fellowship.

You have a choice to …

Slow down.

Open the door.

Revisit His directives in your life.

If you recognize God’s Voice — stop and listen. He has a purpose.

Write it down — Journaling is a tool that will help you notice Gods fingerprints in your life.

Always record the date with your entry. Then you will be able to trace Gods timetable!

You may not know your future but God does.

Listen to the breath of His Spirit …

He is calling …

“Look! I have been standing at the door, and I am constantly knocking. If anyone hears me calling him and opens the door, I will come in and fellowship with him and he with me. Revelation 3:20 TLB
