Occasionally I will post Journaling Samples from my journal, to give you an idea of different Journaling Styles and Techniques.
Sample #1 — A Prayer of Surrender and Time of Waiting Before God
10-6-13 (always date your entries)
Father I place all the pieces of my life before You. Father, burn away everything that is not of You and bring to light everything that is!
(Psalm 5:3 MSG) Every morning I lay the pieces of my life on Your altar & watch for fire to descend.
Father complete Your work in me – there is a part of me – that needs healing – show me what that is – what are the roots?
I am over the top thankful for YOU!!!
Sample #2 — Crying Out to God During a Struggle and Recording His Repsonse
Notice in the following Journaling Sample I have the scripture in a different color to highlight what God speaks to me. Doing this helps me see what He is doing and helps me to locate His instructions and encouragement at a glance.
10-28-13
Crying out to God – I need to know that You are here with me – in this. Immediately this verse was on my heart!
Psalm 138:8 The Lord will perfect that which concerns me…
Hallelujah! Thank You Lord, thank You!
Because God gave me this verse — this Rhema verse, I spoke it out throughout the day — for several days. When God gives a verse to you, it comes with all the power to fulfill it. Pray it through — believe it — decree and declare it. In Jesus Name.
