I am so excited for you because I know that as you seek God, He will reveal Himself to you in a personal way. He tells us so in Jeremiah 29:13:

“You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” NIV

According to Dr. Pennebaker, medical research is showing that writing about unresolved upsetting events and conflicts can actually improve your health.

Spiritual journaling can also help you to:
  • Hear and recognize God’s voice
  • Gain wisdom and insight about your life
  • Release stress and anxiety
  • Keep you accountable to God
  • Enrich your prayer life
  • Bring greater emotional, spiritual and physical health
  • Remember what God has done
  • Discover God’s purpose for your life
  • Find God’s will Help you walk in victory
  • Create a legacy for your loved ones
  • Stop stuffing your feelings and difficulties
  • Know who you are

I have found journaling to be a place of safety. For me it has been a lifeboat in the midst of storms. Recently when I encountered heavy trials and felt numb from pain and grief, I had difficulty praying. Journaling became a form of prayer that kept me close to God. Month after month as I poured out my heart to Him and heard His voice, I was filled with strength to go on. Journaling is a tool that God has used in my life to keep me from falling under my circumstances. And He will use this tool to keep you above trials as well.

I have been journaling for over 32 years and every year I learn something new about God and about myself through this powerful discipline. As your Journaling Coach I will give you ideas, prompts and tools to help you get started so that you can find the unique style that fits your personality and the way you relate to God.

Some things that you can record in your journal are:

  • prayers
  • praise
  • thanksgiving
  • memories
  • dreams
  • visions
  • goals
  • things your children do or say
  • emotions
  • pain
  • concerns
  • revelations
  • insights
  • scripture
  • quotes from speakers and authors and
  • God’s Word spoken to your heart.

The possibilities are endless. There is so much to learn and experience.

I am praying for you!
