Weed-Killer Prayers
First, pray the heart scriptures to soften the soil of the heart.
Then in faith, pray these weed-killer scriptures to destroy weeds of
sin.
Father, in the name of Jesus I come before You on behalf of
___________, and claim Your word that says sin shall no longer have
dominion over him/her, and that he/she is dead to sin and his/her
relation to it is broken. In faith I proclaim that he/she is alive
to You Lord God, living in unbroken fellowship with You in Christ
Jesus. Sin shall no longer reign in his/her mortal body so that
he/she may obey its lusts. (Rom. 6:11,12, 14)
Jesus died for_________ and his/her old self was crucified with
Christ in order that his/her body of sin might be done away with, so
that __________ will no longer be a slave to sin. (Rom 6:6)
Therefore, I declare the sins of the flesh to be powerless over
________. I loose the following sins from his/her heart: Immorality,
impurity, indecency, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy,
anger, (ill-temper), selfishness, divisions, (dissentions) party
spirit (factions, sects, peculiar opinions, heresies), envy,
drunkenness, carousing and the like. (Gal 5:19-21)
As your prayers cover their heart, sin will lose its grip before it
can become deeply rooted.
